Some might address her as Brittany Elmslie OAM (Order of Australia) or duel Olympic gold medalist. But most days, she's just Brit. At times she feels overwhelmed to be addressed with such titles. More recently, she learned to embrace everything that pays tribute to the years of hard work and commitment it takes to earn such achievements. Throughout her journey of navigating herself through the highs and the lows of a professional sporting career, she discovered there is no definition or destination of success. She believes in the importance of knowing your values, investing in personal development, and finding growth within life adversity. This approach has helped her gain perspective and shape her most authentic self. Through lived experiences, Brit now holds a view that success is a mindset which aligns you with your purpose. She decided to retire from professional swimming after 13 years of dedicating her mind, body, and soul to the pursuit of excellence. Since transitioning into life after sport, Brit felt drawn to establishing opportunities which will enable her to connect with young people, aspiring athletes and businesses that share the desire to invest in a successful growth mindset.
